Question: I have a member in my group that forgot which email address they use to sign in to XPunch. Or, the member states that they're "unable to log in." What can I do?
Answer: use the "Forgot sign in?" feature.
- Navigate to Configuration > Members
- Click on the member that forgot the email they use to log in to XPunch
- Click on the overflow menu icon (the three vertical dots) and choose "Forgot sign in?"
An email will be dispatched to the email address that that user users with handy sign-in information.
NOTES:
Make no mistake, as a manager or an administrator, you cannot see the email that your member uses to sign in to XPunch. This is considered private.
When you click on a member's information, you may wonder why you see an email address. The email address you see is editable reference information like any other for your own purposes, such as telephone number and gender.
If your member forgets the email address they use to sign in to XPunch, don't provide them with the email you see: perform the "Forgot login?" action instead.
Most times we hear from members that "XPunch does not recognize their email," it turns out that it's actually the member that has forgotten which email of their many emails they use or which sign-in method they use (Google, Microsoft, native) that is the root cause of their issue. Performing the above "Forgot sign in?" feature is an excellent first step to diagnosing their issue.
