Scenario: there's a member who is no longer active in the group. We don't want to delete their data, but we want to hide them from view in XPunch, and we don't want an XPunch subscription to be attributed to them anymore. Or conversely, a member that was previously archived has returned and we want to unarchive them.
Solution 1: to archive a member, follow the steps, below.
- In XPunch, go to Configuration > Members.
- Click on the member that you would like to archive.
- Click on the edit icon (the pencil).
- Flip to This member is archived toggle switch so that this setting is set to "on."
- Click on UPDATE button.
Solution 2: to unarchive a member, follow the steps, below.
- In XPunch, go to Configuration > Members.
- Locate the hidden, archived member that you would like to reactivate by clicking on either search bar or the magnifying glass.
- Click on the icon in the search bar that looks like three horizontal dots. An advanced search dialog will appear.
- On the advanced search dialog, locate the Archived field and select "Only."
- Click on the SEARCH button. All of your archived members will appear.
- Click on the member that you would like to unarchive.
- Click on the member's Edit icon (looks like a pencil).
- Flip to This member is archived toggle switch so that this setting is set to "off."
- Choose a subscription for your member in the Subscription field.

Sideline notes: sometimes managers seek to increase the limit on the number of plans they have in their group. If you have members that are no longer with your organization, the first thing you'll want to consider is archiving them.
