How to Create a Native XPunch Account

Did you know that you actually don't need to create an XPunch account? If you have a personal Microsoft or Google account, then you can sign in to XPunch.

For people that don't have a personal Microsoft or Google account, you can create an XPunch account.  Follow these steps:

Step 1 - Go to the XPunch Website

• Navigate to xpunch.com

Step 2 - Click on the "Sign in" Button

Step 3 - Click on the "Sign up now" Hyperlink

• You should see a page asking for people to log in with Microsoft, Google, or an Email / Password combination. The "Sign up now" hyperlink is located below those items.

Step 4 - Enter Your Email Address and Then Hit the "Send verification code" Button

• Don't bother entering any other information such as password or display name yet.

Step 5 - Enter the Verification Code You Received at Your Email Address

• You probably noticed that a "Verification code" field appeared on the screen the moment you pressed the "button" earlier.
• NOTE: this field is not asking for the invitation code that you may or may not have received from a person that decided to invite you to their XPunch group. There's a difference between an invitation code and a verification code.
• Go to your email account that you entered earlier and wait a few moments for an email with the verification code in it to arrive. It usually arrives in less than two minutes. If it doesn't, check your spam, junk (etc.) folders to see if the email went there.
• Lastly, once you've received your code, enter it in that "Verification code" field and then hit the "Verify code" button.

Step 6 - Enter a Unique Password (twice) and Choose a Display Name

• Now you can go ahead and fill out those other fields: New Password, Confirm New Password, and Display Name.
• In case you're wondering, the display name is used to create the initials in your XPunch account's avatar and also to display your name whenever you wish to confirm that you're logged into your own account.
• Press the "Create" button once you're done.

You're Done! Join or Create a Group!

• Once you log in to XPunch for the first time, you'll be offered an opportunity to either Join or Create an XPunch group.
• If you received an invitation code from someone, you're going to want to Join a group.
• If you know that you're supposed to join a group but haven't received an invitation, you need to speak with your XPunch administrator to get one.
• On the other hand, if you're going to be working solo or if you want to become the administrator for your own XPunch group that you'll be managing, you'll want to Create a group.
