We're Starting Fresh: no accounts or data will be ported over to the release version of XPunch
The data from XPunch beta was not be moved over to the new XPunch interface. The account credentials you used on the beta version won't work on the release version. Access to your data via the XPunch beta interface is discontinued. For this reason, we recommended to our customers that they copy any information that is useful to them before that interface closed. Running a report was a great way to do this: specify the start date as the date that you first started using XPunch up until today's date.
To begin using the release version of XPunch, you'll need to create a brand-new account. New log in options are now available!
Why Have You Chosen Not to Migrate Accounts or Data Over to the New XPunch?
There are actually several reasons for this decision, and they may not all be listed here. To keep our response brief, it has to do with the nature of the data itself. To use an analogy, it's like trying to fit square pegs into round holes. The formats between the two versions were so intrinsically different that it would have been a difficult task to accomplish indeed. This leads to another reason: resource intensive. Dedicating resources to setting up a migration protocol would have severely strained resources to the point that this would have a negative effect on developing the new version of XPunch.
The solution that we chose, therefore, was to continue to host the information for a reasonable amount of time to allow users to grab anything that they needed off of the beta version of the product.
